OUR STORY
Some stories change how we move through the world and shape who we become.
Moments Remain began with one of those stories.
A SMALL LIFE THAT BECAME PART OF OURS
For sixteen years, our cat Guinness was part of our family. We found him shortly after we were married — a tiny, unwell kitten, no more than two weeks old, alone in the forest. From the moment we brought him home, he became woven into the fabric of our life together.
A COMPANION IN EVERY RHYTHM OF LIFE
He travelled by car, train, boat, and bus, walked beside us through forests and along beaches, and settled into each new place as if it had always been his. Whether it was big adventures or quiet routines, he was always there
— the three of us moved through every rhythm as a family. He had his own chair at the table, his own place in every room, and a presence that made him feel inseparable from our daily life. Conversations included him as naturally as anyone else, and he answered back in his own way — vocal, expressive, and unmistakably involved. He had a way of winning people over almost instantly, simply by being himself, and seemed to collect stories wherever he went.
A GOODBYE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
He stayed bright and full of life until his kidneys decided to stop working.
Within a few weeks, we had to say goodbye to one of our closest friends.
During that difficult time, we searched for a way to honour him — not through something rooted in grief, but through something that reflected the love, the memories, and the moments that had shaped us. Sixteen years with him had changed who we were, how we related to each other, and how we moved through the world. Those changes remain.
They continue to shape us, even now.
WHERE MOMENTS REMAIN BEGAN
This is where Moments Remain began: from the lived experience of needing something that could hold the weight of a relationship that had shaped our lives. It changed the way I understood what a keepsake truly is.
Not an object. Not a product. But a way of carrying forward the presence, influence, and meaning of someone who remains part of who we are.
Today, the heart of Moments Remain lies in the stories that give each piece its meaning. The relationships being honoured, the memories carried forward, and the moments that continue to shape a life are what guide this work.
Every keepsake entrusted to me represents a connection that still lives within the people who loved and were loved.
THE HEART OF THE WORK
Moments Remain exists because love leaves an imprint, because the experiences we share with those we love become part of who we are, and because those influences continue even when they are no longer physically with us.
This work is held with sincerity and respect.
Every story is honoured.
Every part is treated with care.
Every piece is shaped with the understanding that the story behind it is the centre of this work.
This is not jewellery.
This is memory, carried forward with intention, shaped by the stories that remain.
